Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has reportedly been subject to a bid worth around £9m from Deportivo La Coruna.
According to the IB Times today, the Spanish side are keen on bringing the 28-year-old back to his homeland and are willing to test Arsenal’s resolve this summer.
Perez left Deportivo only last summer, sealing his big move to the Emirates for a fee stated to be in the region of £17 million.
However, he has since struggled to make a lasting impact on English football, with Arsene Wenger favouring other attacking options.
The club-record signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon is sure to push Perez even further down the pecking order at Arsenal, which could allow him an escape route back to Deportivo.
Perez is claimed to be desperate to leave the club and seek first-team football elsewhere, with him fully aware that chances will come at a premium next season given the attacking personnel that Wenger has at his disposal. - Read Sport
