Chelsea are to hold talks with Serie A giants Juventus today over a possible £60m deal for Brazilian full-back Alex Sandro, according to a report in the Express.
The Italian club are desperate to hold onto their star full-back but Chelsea are not slowing down in their pursuit of luring the player to the Premier League champions
Manager Antonio Conte has made Sandro one of his key transfer targets this summer and is the ideal man for him as he looks for a new left-back before the new campaign begins.
The Turin club are ready to offer the 26-year-old a new contract worth £76,000-a-week, but Chelsea are prepared to increase that and offer Sandro £100,000-a-week. The London club are hoping that their offer will be enough to persuade Sandro to move to Stamford Bridge.
However, the fee between the two clubs still needs to be agreed with the Italian Champions asking for £60m, which will be a new transfer record for Chelsea.
The two clubs will converse today about the future of the left-back and will both have a better idea about where he will be playing his football next season.
Sandro was an important figure for Juventus on their road to the Serie A title and the UEFA Champions League final last season and made 43 appearances, scoring three times and assisting five.
