Conte tells Chelsea officials to sign Lukaku at any price

Everton v Chelsea - Premier League

Antonio Conte has told Chelsea officials that they must do everything they can to re-sign Romelu Lukaku this summer, even if it means matching the Toffees’ £100 million valuation for the Belgian, according to The Telegraph.

After letting striker Diego Costa know by text that he is not in his plans for the upcoming season, Conte now wants Lukaku to sign for the Blues as quickly as possible, even if it means Chelsea breaking the world record transfer fee, as he believes the Belgian can live up to any price tag.

Lukaku, 24, failed to score for Chelsea during his first three-year spell at Stamford Bridge, where he was loaned out at fellow Premier League sides West Brom and Everton, impressing at both, before joining Everton permanently back in 2014 for £28 million.
Jose Mourinho has also shown an interest in Lukaku, however, he favours a return to Chelsea over Manchester as he believes he has unfinished business.
