Coleen Rooney stops China move following Wayne’s gambling spree
Wayne's wife, Coleen Rooney has blocked his move to China after the footballer went on a gambling spree!
The English footballer was hotly tipped to move to the Chinese Super League at the end of the season.
However the move doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon as over the weekend Wayne lost £500,000 in a casino in Manchester.
Although the move would make him the world’s best-paid football player, as he was offered £1 million a week, Coleen is dead set against it.
‘The money on offer is astronomical and Coleen could see the sense in Wayne going if he is doing it for the family’s future,’ a source told The Daily Star.
They added, ‘But that would all fall apart if he was gambling it all away.’
The English striker currently earns £300,000 a week playing for Old Trafford. However during the weekend he was gambling £4,000 a minute in the casino.
A witness told the Sun, ‘He was gambling a lot on red and seemed to be in his own world…He was chasing his losses, which was just making things worse for him.’
It seems that Coleen is concerned what Wayne could get up to without her keeping an eye on him. If Wayne were to move to China Coleen intended to stay in the UK with her children, Kai, Kit and Klay.
The source told The Daily Star, ‘If she thinks there is a danger he will blow cash gambling she won’t let it happen.’
