United have no interest in selling Phil Jones

Previews - UEFA Europa League Final

Manchester United are willing to reject offers for Phil Jones this summer to keep the defender at Old Trafford, according to reports from ESPN.

The English international impressed Jose Mourinho towards the end of the last campaign, where he formed a solid partnership with Marcos Rojo and has believed to have done enough in Mourinho’s eyes to stay at Old Trafford.

Jones, 25, is under contract at United until the end of the 2018/2019 season and also has the option of another year. The defender has suffered multiple injuries during his career at Old Trafford, but made 26 appearances last season, where they won the EFL Cup and the Europa League.

With Champions League football back next season, Mourinho wants to keep a relatively large squad for the upcoming campaign, and will dismiss interest in Jones as he and the rest of his team mates look set to report back for pre-season training at the beginning of next week.
