Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to make a return to Manchester United in January according to the Daily Record, as his incredible recovery from a serious knee injury continues.
The injury was sustained as Ibrahimovic scored a stoppage-time winner against Belgian side Anderlecht, in which he ruptured both posterior and anterior cruciate ligaments.
The 35-year-old, who scored 28 goals for the Red Devils last season, has re-emerged in Jose Mourinho’s plans for next season, and is looking to link back up with the United squad in January, where he will hope to feature in the second half of the season.
This option comes as a blessing to Jose Mourinho, who is now able to indulge further into the transfer market for top targets, after the signing of Romelu Lukaku means he no longer necessarily need another forward.
